A picture speaks a thousand words, but it can also cement a lifetime of beautiful memories. Having shared three decades of memoirs between mom and baby, Philips AVENT is celebrating its 30-year milestone with the launch of its country-wide Baby of the Year competition.

Pregnancy and early parenthood is an exciting and challenging time for parents. As a mom, you’ll want what’s best for your baby from day one. With 30 years of clinical experience in baby feeding, Philips AVENT has been designing and manufacturing products to confidently help moms meet the needs of their babies.

“We have invested time and resources into research and clinical trials in order to develop products that are not only inspired by one of nature’s most beautiful experiences but are also founded on our mom’s valuable feedback.

“We would now like to share our big day by inviting parents to nominate their babies in our Philips Avent Baby of the Year competition with prizes that are not only going to help mom now, but more importantly, for her child’s future,” said Lucy Jones, Marketing Head, Consumer Lifestyle, Africa.

The competition will be filled with spot prizes and giveaways until the winner is announced in mid-April 2015. The lucky baby and their parents will be awarded with an education trust in partnership with Liberty Investments, as well as a photo shoot to ensure parents have a memoir of their beautiful bundle of joy’s accolade. The second and third prize winners will also be receiving a photo shoot each, while the first 250 entrants will walk away with a mom and baby t-shirt.

“We would like to thank and reward our past, present and future customers for the support they’ve given us over the past 30 years. The Philips Avent Baby of the Year competition is going to culminate into a celebration of beautiful images and memories when we announce the winner as well as our new brand ambassador in the coming month,” Jones added.

“We understand how important these moments are to capture forever. We hope this competition will allow one lucky parent an easy transition through her child’s life and make the challenges of parenthood a little lighter, so they can enjoy the small but important moments.”

Look out for the in-store activations where the Philips Baby of the Year competition stands will be displayed. Here, mom and baby can have their pictures taken while entering the competition through the on-site application station or if they cannot visit the stand by going online here for further entry details.
