Thoughts from a Grace Factory volunteer
I began volunteering with The Grace Factory when the Vaal Branch started two years ago. I was drawn in by the enthusiasm and passion of Ellouise, who leads the branch, …
The Grace Factory is an independent registered Non-Profit Organisation that aims to help moms and babies in need in South Africa.
Our vision for The Grace Factory is that no mother delivers a baby in our communities without having the basic baby essentials for herself and her baby during the first few weeks of her newborn baby’s life.
The Grace Factory fully relies on the power of its supporters, volunteers and sponsors. We truly appreciate every single donation we receive, whether big or small.
Your monetary donation makes such a difference in the lives of vulnerable mothers and their babies. Click here to donate.
Knit, crochet or sew baby beanies, jerseys, booties or blankets. Blankets may also be cut from fleece blanket material (75cmx100cm).
Sponsor a donation drive or packing day at your home, school or office.
The Grace Factory is a registered Non-Profit Organisation (123-700NPO) that aims to help mothers and babies in need in South Africa, with the ultimate aim of placing value and dignity on mothers during one of the most vulnerable times of her life.
One way we aim to achieve this goal is by providing maternity packs to mothers who are unable to afford the basic essentials at the time of their baby’s birth. These packs include a babygrow, vest, beanie, blanket, socks, nappies, wet wipes, bum cream, aqueous cream, baby soap, face cloth, maternity sanitary pads and breast pads.
We distribute our maternity packs through public hospitals, clinics, social workers and other community partners who have made a commitment to empower women on a long term basis.
Lastly, we aim to redistribute some of the goods we receive to homes caring for abandoned or orphaned babies.
We have branches in
The Grace Factory became a legal entity in February 2013 and so far we have brought a ray of hope to over 23 000 anxious new mothers and babies, and assisted over 200 homes and organisations with baby goods.
Our heart and vision for The Grace Factory is that no mother delivers a baby in our communities without having the basic baby care essentials for herself and her baby.
Meet the super duper fearless ladies leading The Grace Factory. Amy has laid an incredible foundation since our inception in 2013 and we all feel very honoured to be part of this team. Our dreams are big and our hearts are even bigger. We truly have ONE pure motive and that is to keep helping moms and babies who need it most.
